Pietersite isn't really very expensive, but it's considered sort of a hard-to-find stone in the bead world. It's really quite pretty-also known as tiger opal, it has areas of chatoyancy on a brown to grayish background, with lots of color mottling and lots of other colors mixed in, even some golds. This is nice batch of peitersite smooth ovals, nice fairly even mix of mostly chatoyant reds and a tad of golden and a tad of quartz like spots now and then. This is a fairly nice batch of peitersite, in an end-drilled smooth teardrop shape. Beads measure about 13mm wide by 18mm hole to hole by 6.5-7.5mm thick and with about a .75mm hole. Great polish, super holes that come out just right on the pointed end, nice colors, with reds, golden and even a few blue beads and many variations of the colors.
